Geoffrey Bolton

Geoffrey Bolton AO is an eminent historian, author of 13 books and former Chancellor of Murdoch University.

A graduate of both the University of Western Australia and Oxford University, Bolton has lectured around the world and held chairs at several universities. He was General Editor of the five-volume Oxford History of Australia.

Named Western Australia’s 2006 Australian of the Year, Bolton resides in Perth.
