David Sornig

David Sornig, the son of German and Austrian parents, is a Melbourne writer whose works include short fiction, memoir and literary criticism.

In 2008 he was awarded the prestigious Charles Pick Fellowship at the University of East Anglia, in the United Kingdom.

He currently lectures in creative writing and literary studies at Victoria University, is married and has two children. His various interests include architecture, sustainable cities, music and Berlin – which he visited frequently in the 1990’s – and feature prominently in Spiel, his first novel.
