Text transcript of Kate Lamont talking about her new book, Wine and Food.

Hi I’m Kate Lamont and I’m a wine maker and restaurateur from Western Australia.

With my mum and my sister we have some cellar doors in Margaret River and the Swan Valley and a lovely waterfront restaurant in east Perth and a wine bar and store in Cottesloe which is where I am right now.

My new book’s coming out next month and it’s about wine and food. For me the companionship of wine and food and the relationship between them, which makes the sum of the two greater than the individual, is what’s really exciting about the wine and food experience.

So this recipe book is actually done in chapters according to the wine you drink with the recipes. The food is very simple, easy to prepare at home, and the recommendations about the type of wine you might like to serve, I think will stand you in good stead.
